The Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, starting from October 7 to December 5 this year, in accordance to the planned activities, realized 14 regional trainings in the country. 250 official persons took part at the two day education trainings in Ohrid, Struga, Strumica, Kicevo, Gevgelija, Kavadarci, Bitola, Prilep, Kocani, Stip, Gostivar, Tetovo, Veles and Kumanovo. Persons in charge of implementing of the Law on Free Access to Public Information from the institutions from the smaller municipalities near these regions also participated at the trainings. […]

In the period between October 7 and November 11, the Commission for PRFAPI, in accordance to the planned program realized 7 out of the 15 planned regional trainings in the whole country. The two-day training educations were held for the official persons in charge of mediating public information. The trainings were held in Ohrid, Strumica, Kicevo, Gevgelija, Kavadarci, Bitola and Prilep. The persons in charge of implementation of the Law on Free Access to Public Information on FAPI from the institutions in the smaller municipalities took part at the trainings. The trainers transferred their experiences to around 175 people that are in charge of mediating public information. […]

As holders of the local authority where the citizens are directly realizing their rights and interests, the municipalities can significantly contribute to the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Public Information, even more because they perform public authorizations and public interest activities (in accordance to article 3, line 1). The Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information with the today’s promotion of the short animated film on A1 television starts the media campaign for rising of the awareness, more precisely introducing and educating the citizens about their legal right to free access to public information. The campaign will take place during the month October, with a total of 14 projections in four different times of showing. […]

From 7 to 10 October, 2008, in the Hotel “Riviera” in Ohrid, trainings for two groups of official persons for mediating public information from the municipalities Ohrid and Struga will take place.
