The President of the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Janko Nikolovski, will take part at the Third European Conference of the Commissioners for Free Access that will take place in Kranj, Republic of Slovenia on September 29, 2008.
This important international event is hosted by the Commissioner for Free Access to Information from Slovenia, Ms. Natasa Pirc – Musar, and it is expected to be opened by the Slovenian President, Danilo Türk.
The Convention for Access to Official Documents, prepared by the Council of Europe, will be put on review at this Conference.
A special session is planned for the presentations of the participants, which will give a view into the situation in the sphere of the free access in the countries of the participants.
The President of Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Janko Nikolovski, will have is presentation, focusing on the subject “Elimination of the obstacles, limiting the exceptions, role of the non-governmental sector and the need of trainings and education”.
