Delegation from the European Commission, led by Mr. Elvis Ali, today visited the Commission for Protection of Right to Free Access to Public Information. The purpose of the visit, that in fact presents continuation of expert mission of the Evaluative mission SIGMA from 08.01.2012, was to continue the dialog, in working level, to familiarize with the situation in the Commission, whose results are submitted to the European Commission, and will be component from its Report, that Republic of Macedonia should expect it at the end of the month.
In the meeting, the President of the Commission, Pece Tashevski, presented the work of the Commission to the guests from EC, including the new statistical data, elaborated in Draft – Annual Report for 2011 t.
Members of the delegation, Barbora Zamrska and Lucash Melka, in the working meeting were interested especially for the needs of staff of the Commission, for necessary changes in the legal regulation of free access to information, fulfillment of jurisdiction of the Commission in the field of education of holders and requesters of information, open questions of updating of List of holder information and other.
The President of the Commission, deputy president and representatives of the Secretariat of the Commission responded on all questions by the guests of the EC, who expressed satisfaction and gratification for obtained full picture of the work of the Commission and expressed desire and preparation for further more often and more comprehensive cooperation, offering proposition for the same.
