Under the project of USAID for strengthening of judiciary, today in the hotel ,,Alexander Palace’’ in Skopje, was held special training of topic: ,, Administration of courts in conditions of financial crisis’’, intended for president of courts and court administrators in Republic of Macedonia.
The training realized the court Bert Man from Netherland, who shared the experiences and good practices of the system of administration with Netherlander courts, and also gave his suggestions for managing with courts in special conditions.
In function of increasing transparency of judiciary and free access to public information, the president of the Commission for Free Access to Public Information, Pece Tashevski held presentation on topic: ,,Request for free access to public information’’.
Noting that the Law for free access to public information, basic on Article 16 from the Constitution of Republic Macedonia is applied already six years, Tashevski informed that the right of free access to public information have all the natural and legal entity including foreign citizens, without discrimination of any basis. Clarifying the procedure of submitting request, he underlined that each body of judicial power is obligated with act to indicate one (or more officials) that will contact with requesters and will mediate in realizing their right of free access to public information. The obligation of officials is to help to the requesters, with purpose of fast and simple way, with lower costs and in very short period to gain the requested information, how to help in case if it’s necessary of supplementation to the request.
Informing the attendees that the request may be submitted orally, written or in electronic form, Tashevski clarified that the requester may gain access to the requested information with review, copy, photocopy or in electronic record.
Appealing to a greater transparency of holders, and in that context also to the courts, Tashevski evaluated that the following application of the Law will mean even greater confidence of the citizens in work of institutions, including judicial bodies.
