The president of the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Mr. Pece Tashevski and the Information Commissioner’s Office of UK Mr. Christopher Graham signed and exchanged letters for cooperation between the two institutions.
Among other, in the document, the Information Commissioner’s Office offered the support for the Commission to realize the shared goal- ensuring more transparent and more accountable society.
Both institutions, with the signing of the letters are committed, wherever possible, each other to support and exchange information, positive experiences from the practice, and other types of work with the goal of improving the right of free access to public information.
The initiate of signing the document emerged from the recent workshop in organization of European Commission by the TAIEX instrument, which was held in Skopje, where participated representative from Information Commissioner’s Office of UK.
