A Macedonian delegation of state servants, part of them from the Commission for PRFAPI, from 6 to 8 May 2008, made a study visit to the Republic of Austria. The visit was after an invitation from the Government of the Republic of Austria and was aimed for further development of the state servants who work on the E-Government issues.
The visit was realized in cooperation with the We-Go project financed by the sixth EU framework program in order to transfer and adjust the use of good practices and knowledge in Macedonia and other target countries – Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
During the tree day workshop in Wien there was a useful exchange of opinions. Ten experts in the field of information technology from the Austrian Federal Office, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Computer Center made their presentations. During the presentation they presented important experiences for the status, the organizational posture, the digital platform and the future perspectives of the Austrian E-Government, the informative RIZ service, the Help service etc.
With this kind of connection, the 65% of the citizens are connected to the internet, which highly eases the way and shortens the time needed for performing of the administrative procedures, especially in the so called massive ministries of state institutions that issue different kinds of documents and forms.
The full realization of the project of the Macedonian Government “Computer for Every Student” will contribute for a simpler implementation of these experiences in our country, but also for a faster connection with the European trends.
