Due to the second anniversary of the application of the Law on Protection of the Right to free Access to Public Information, on September 1, 2008, a special 44 page brochure was published in the daily newspaper “Dnevnik”, containing the List of Holders of Public Information and all the necessary data. By doing so, the Commission for Protection of the Right to free Access to Public Information fulfilled its legal obligation (in accordance to article 5 of the Law on PRFAPI) to annually publish the List of information holders.
The List, which was published in a circulation of 30000 copies, is not complete and finalized yet, considering the legal authorizations of the Commission to daily register, change and supplement the officially received data. This second in a row published List of Information Holders contains data for all the 1408 registered holders (institutions, legal and physical entities) that perform public authorization and public interest activities.
This brochure is realized with the financial support of the Embassy of Great Britain in the Republic of Macedonia and in cooperation with the Macedonian Institute for Media, as a part of the large project “Technical Assistance and Rising the Awareness for Support of the Application of the Law on Free Access to Public Information”.
