Today, December 10th, is the International Human Rights Day and it is being marked throughout the world with celebrations. On this date in 1948 the UN General Assembly brought a proclamation for adoption and signing of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. This day became traditionally the day for giving the award of the UN for Human Rights and the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, as a body that actively participates in the protection of the human rights and we join the greetings and encourage the applicants and the holders of public information, as well as the nongovernmental organizations to use the democratic rights to a free access to public information that is described and sanctioned in the Law on Free Access to Public Information.
