In the premises of the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, today was held training for persons obligated to mediate with public information from the public enterprises and institutions. The training was realized in order to raise the awareness for the meaning of this democratic right where the citizens as requesters may use it, and the topic of the training was:,, The right of free access to public information’’. The purpose of the training is to raise the degree of implementation of the Law in practice by the officials.
Experts from the Secretariat of the Commission who held the training, they familiarized the attendees with the history and the development of the right of free access to public information, and in the second part they presented the Law by giving practical examples. By interactive access, officials became familiarized with the procedure of requesting public information, with the procedure and the complaint and the misdemeanour procedure, as well for the obligation of information holders to prepare Annual report.
Practical examples from the practise were elaborated in the final part from the training, by which the officials expressed their views in the concrete procedures on requests that were directed to their institutions and acted in the same.
