The Ministry of Foreign Affairs performs the activities referring to:
– foreign affairs and foreign policy of the Republic of Macedonia;
– establishing, developing and coordinating relations, presentation and affirmation of the Republic of Macedonia internationally;
– protection of interests, rights and property of the Republic and its citizens and of Macedonian legal entities abroad;
– coordination and information about the policy from the competencies it is established for;
– taking care of the situation and the rights of Macedonians in the neighbouring countries;
– organization and management with diplomatic, consular and other offices of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as organization of the liaison system with them;
– signing, initialising and keeping of international agreements;
– defining and demarcation of the state border;
– communication and cooperation with foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign countries and missions of international organizations to the Republic of Macedonia;
– accreditation of ambassadors, acceptance of credentials, issuing privileges and immunity to foreign diplomatic offices and offices of international governmental organizations and other activities related to assigning and recalling of ambassadors of the Republic of Macedonia abroad;
– collecting, analyzing and keeping foreign and domestic documentation within its competencies and
– performs other activities stipulated by the Law.
